FAQ
How often should I review this ASO checklist?
Review after every major app update, and do a full audit at least every quarter. Google Play's algorithm and policies can change, and your competitive landscape shifts constantly.
What's the single most impactful thing to fix first?
If your rating is below 4.0, fix that first — it affects both visibility and conversion. If your rating is fine, check that your category is correct (misclassification is the #1 positioning issue). After that, optimize your title — it has the highest ranking weight.
Does keyword density in the description matter?
There is no proven optimal keyword density for Google Play. The common "3-5% density" advice has no empirical backing. Mention relevant keywords naturally throughout your description — that's all the evidence supports.
